The flange can be bonded or welded to your 3" plumbing. Use of this flange generally eliminates at least one silicone coupler and two hose clamps while providing a smoother flow path to the MAF. This flange is more commonly used on Ford vehicles like the Mustang and Focus when creating a custom intake or turbo system.
